The Lockdown Sparkling Wine Mix contains:
1 x The-Super-Nat Pétillant-Naturel 2019 (New Zealand)
A soft and creamy mousse awaits you, with pear, lemon, ginger, and biscuity aromas. Finishes with lime, marmalade and vanilla. Additional notes of mandarin and mineral.
This wine is naturally fermented in the bottle, and as such sediment will remain. To enjoy “cloudy”, as many Pet-Nats are, simply chill and carefully invert the bottle before opening. Sealed with a crown cap.
1 x Il Grillo di Santa Tresa Vino Spumante Brut (Italy)
One of our favourites here at Fizz Republic. This Sicilian fizz is made with 100% Grillo grapes. Move over Prosecco! With a fresh and fine finish, this delicious wine has zingy bursts of acidity, and spectacular fruit. Wild flowers, white peach, and nectarine on the nose. A keen citrus edge adds to the balance and vitality of the wine.
Recommended by Olly Smith in the Daily Mail, ‘Buzzing bubbly to pop for an aperitif. Pair with fish and chips, a fish finger sandwich or fritto misto.’ February 2018
1 x Albet i Noya Petit Albet Brut 2016 (Spain)
A blend of Chardonnay with local varieties, look out for orange, green apple, and lime. Light bubbles.
1 x Domaine de Bois Mozé Crémant de Loire Blanc 2017 (France)
Made with 100% Chenin Blanc, this Cremant hails from from the Anjou area in the heart of the Loire. With lemongrass and apricot on the nose, pleasant citrus on the palate, and fine bubbles, it’s sure to be a hit.
1 x Giol DOC Prosecco Spumante Treviso Extra Dry (Italy)
This delightful yellow sparkling wine is full of powerful bubbles with a pronounced nose of white fruits and blossom. Delicate and dry in the mouth and well structured to highlight its balanced biscuit and apple flavours.
1 x Wild Thing Prosecco Flip-Top (Italy)
A wine you can definitely feel good about. Wild Thing was developed in association with the Born Free Foundation, and a donation is made for every bottle sold. Donations go toward conservation and animal welfare projects around the world, so drink up!
An easy-style Prosecco, which is made Frizzante (lightly sparkling). Soft bubbles, with notes of spring flowers, pears, and a hint of peach on the palate. An excellent aperitif choice.
The ‘flip top’ bottle allows for re-sealing. Oh the convenience!
